It mainly provides local cuisine and seafood dishes but it also has great vegetarian and vegan options so that shouldn’t worry you.

They have so many food options including gluten free food. The restaurant is a comfortable dining space and has a patio too for outdoor dining.

They have a bar too offering great drinks like cocktails and beer. You can order for takeout too and even delivery if you do not plan on sitting in the restaurant. The restaurant is an experience because it has it all.

 

2. The Beachead restaurant.

This is a great restaurant located at 598 Corn Neck Road, New Shoreham on Block Island. It is open six days a week from a half past 11 am to 9 pm, closed on Wednesdays.

It is a lovely place that offers a wide range of food options. They have pizzas, burgers, soups, chili and many other kinds of food. It is a great place to have a meal with the entire family including children because they have lots of options.

They have an indoor and outdoor seating area so you can go to either one. Also, it is a bar so you can order for all the drinks you want when there.

I also applaud them for their great service including the fact that they pay attention to detail and are kind to customers.

 

4. Dead Eye Dick’s.

This is a seafood restaurant located at 218 Ocean Avenue, New Shoreham on Block Island. It is open for lunch and dinner daily.

It has some of the best sea food on the island. Their lobster roll is definitely something you should try out at least once when you are on the island and you will not regret it.

It is also not that expensive which is a great feature for me. Their service is good and the servers are attentive. Their food is fresh, well prepared and delicious.

The sitting area is spacious and it is a great place to relax and breathe in fresh air. They have vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options too. Delivery is available too. It is definitely one of the best in the area.

 

5. Block Island Oyster Bar and Grill.

This is a bar and restaurant located at 251 Spring Street, New Shoreham on Block Island. It opens from 5 to 9 pm all week except for Wednesdays.

It is a food place but it pays attention to its craft regardless and the food is delicious. It has a variety of sea food served there like lobster dishes, oyster dishes and fish too.

You can enjoy your meal and order some wine, beer or cocktail as well. It is one of the best restaurants on the island and I assure you that you will enjoy their meals.

They have both indoor and outdoor sitting area so you choose where you prefer. You can sit in, take away or even order because they do deliveries.

This is a great restaurant located at 221 Jobs Hl Road, New Shoreham on Block Island. It is open every day from a half past 11 am to 9 pm.

It has a wide variety of sea food on its menu like lobster, clam chowder and sushi and it also serves other food options like burgers and vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. It offers takeaway but delivery is not available.

Their service is great and the place has a great view of the Great salt pond on the back deck. It is a walk-in restaurant so you cannot make reservations.

It is open every day from 7:30 am to 11 pm except for Sundays when it closes earlier at 9 pm. Their menu is extensive and includes shrimp, lobster, calamari, chicken wings, quesadillas, clam cakes, pasta, burgers, soups and salads and a lot more including gluten free options.

It is one of the restaurants on the island with the most extensive menu so if you like having numerous options, this is the place to go.

I like this one because you get to have a great view of the ocean and are near other services like the bars and spas at the resort.

This is a great place located at 235 Dodge Street, New Shoreham on Block Island. For my coffee lovers, try this place out because it has amazing coffee with many coffee options as well. It is open daily from 7 am to 3 pm.

It has simple and cheap food options which are very delicious like croissants and toast. It is a great place to go to for breakfast because their pastries are amazing.

The service there is not so great but they try. It has a beautiful outdoor seating area. It is worth a try at least once when on the island.

 

10. Rebecca’s sea food takeout.

This restaurant is located at 435 Water Street, New Shoreham on Block Island. It is open from 7 am to 2 pm daily.

You can sit in or order for takeout. Even deliveries are available. It’s a seafood restaurant so most of their cuisine is sea food based.

It has both indoor and outdoor seating areas which are all wheel chair accessible. It is a great place to have your lunch at because they have fresh seafood including clams, fish that is very well prepared.

There is no undercooked or overcooked food in sight. They have other food options too like chicken. Their service is good and the food is affordable.

It has a versatile and inclusive menu which is one of the best things about this one and all their food is great and at worst decent. It is a place with no disappointments.

This is primarily a bar located at 214 Corn Neck Road, New Shoreham on Block Island. It however offers food on its menu as well. I know it is more of a bar than a restaurant but trust me, their food is great.

It is a good place to go to if other restaurants are closed because it is a bar and stays open until late. They do not have too many food options.

They mostly have Mexican and Southwestern cuisine. They have takeout and deliveries too if you do not want to sit in the bar.

Their service is okay and the place has nice calming music. It is a great place to chill out at and enjoy your meal and a beer too.

This one is for the fine dining experience. It is located at 359 Roslyn Road, New Shoreham on Block Island.

It is a very versatile restaurant offering sea food, local cuisine and contemporary dishes too. It takes reservations, has both indoor and outdoor seating areas with an available parking space.

It does deliveries too. It is a serene place with great service and amazing food. Their butter seared scallops are amazing and are worth a try. It is a great restaurant for both breakfast and lunch.

This restaurant is located at 213 Water Street, New Shoreham on Block Island. It is open all week from 11:30 am to 9 pm except for Wednesdays when it is closed.

Their servers are very king and attentive which makes the place so much better. Their food is a bit expensive though but it is worth every cent.

So, you can walk in anytime within that time frame. This restaurant should definitely be up there but hey, the other restaurants are great too with amazing food options.

Hotel Manisses restaurant has vegetarian friendly and gluten free food options. Their top cuisine is sea food. Their food is outstanding and they have great service.

You can decide to sit inside the restaurant or outside in the beautiful garden. It is an amazing fine dining restaurant.

 

18. Eli’s restaurant.

This is a small restaurant located at 456 Chapel Street, New Shoreham on Block Island. It is open from 6 to 9 pm daily.

It has been around for a while since 1994 so you know it has good food otherwise it would have been out of business a long time ago with all the competition.

It offers local cuisine and sea food including vegetarian friendly and gluten free options. Their food is really exquisite. In terms of food only, I think this place is the best restaurant on the island. It has a limited seating area though and on a busy day, you might get frustrated waiting for your turn.

Their service is good too so you will really enjoy your meal here. Trust me, your taste buds are in for a great ride.

 

19. Ernie’s old harbor restaurant.

Finally, we have Ernie’s Old Harbor restaurant to close off our list. It is located at 212 Water Street, New Shoreham on Block Island.

It is open every day from 6:30 am to 12 am. It is a great breakfast place because they have good coffee and amazing breakfast food options like eggs.

Their lunch options are fine too but they are sometimes only slightly above average and not exceptional. Their service is mediocre too.

The good thing is that you can get your food delivered and save yourself the trouble of going in person.
